Synesthesia

The reality of what we see is dictated by our neurons. They play a magnificent show bespoke for us alone. There is no colour, the is no smell or sound, yet we experience them. We only see a fraction of the waves that go through us daily out of a wide spectrum that exists of alpha particles, beta particles and x-rays and gamma rays.
We see our subjective realities and believe it is the truth. We see what we want to see. This piece celebrates the fusion of many, metaphorically using synesthesia.

The greater power of that which we feel and do not see. We are energy sentient beings limited by our biology. The universe is constantly changing and evolving as are we. The autumn moment where the earth is equally light on both hemisphere is a time of greater change thus the out of control emotions and weather extremes.
This is a metaphor for the inner world at an equal plain with the universe, a world too chaotic and big for us to comprehend. Equi, the calm, the equal. Juxtaposed with Nox Roman goddess of the night, daughter of chaos, the unknown vast darkness...

Unity
Mixed Media on Aluminium
100cm x 100cm
A politically philosophical piece 'Unity' in a dialogue with 'Ode to XX'. In 'The Structure and Dynamics' of the Psyche Carl Jung researches the phenomenon of the collective unconscious as a doorway to connective-ness and unity. In times of insane politics and misbalance of wealth and power, the energy rising from a shift beyond the XY's and XX's egos create a new infrastructure of society. Harmony within self allows reconnecting with raging nature and nurturing the inner- cosmos paves the way with the outer world. A rising.
