‘Journey’ started in 2018 in a collaborative dialogue with a conservationist regarding land, adventure and timeless recipes. The piece is an impulsive and gestural record of change. Adventures on the coast manifest as a verdigris drop, a red earth landscape makes a splash, an ochre mountain path is a glide, a fire in the woods becomes an ashy scrape. These acts tell a personal story of journeying through seasons in challenging times and inspiring landscapes.
