The artist quest for harmony really materialises in For Your Eyes Only, Ema has approached the Glastonbury ash with high regard and appreciation of its rawness and journey. Through a hand painting technique the painting is both bruised by the artist's sadness for a pilgrim forest's tree transitioning to wood, but also blushes capturing the artists joyous love and admiration for it. 

Each pigment used is loaded with emotion and balanced against another. The oil paint application is guided by the feel and textural consistency of the surface of the wood. Trees are seen by the artist as heroes, a connection to otherness; an entry point to the notion of being everything and everywhere, all at once. In ‘For Your Eyes Only’ the artist's intention to charm, soothe and honour the Ash comes to life. A spectrum of emotions between pain, love and praise are successfully articulated and detectable in the two part painting. The well-balanced palette of tender colour tones is a tribute of the artist’s long term dedication to both the alchemy and the relationships between particular selection of raw pigments and understanding of bespoke textures in the practice.
